How to Connect Google Tag Manager with Taskip

Track your customers’ activity — page visits, ad clicks, purchases — in your own Google Analytics, Facebook, or TikTok accounts.

What You Get After Connecting

  • See which pages your customers visit
  • Track how long they stay
  • Know which ad (Facebook, TikTok, Google) brought them to you
  • See purchases attributed to your ads in your own dashboards

Before You Start

You need accounts on the platforms you want to track with. All are free:

Step 1 — Create a GTM Account

  1. Go to tagmanager.google.com
  2. Click “Create Account”
  3. Fill in:
    • Account name: your company name (e.g. Acme Corp)
    • Country: your country
    • Container name: your website URL (e.g. acme.taskip.net)
    • Target platform: Web
  4. Click Create → accept the terms

GTM will show you a code snippet — skip this for now. Taskip handles the installation automatically.

  1. Find your Container ID — it looks like GTM-XXXXXXX and appears at the top of the GTM dashboard

Step 2 — Add Your Container ID to Taskip

  1. Log in to your Taskip workspace
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations (or Settings → Tracking)
  3. Find the “Google Tag Manager” field
  4. Paste your Container ID (e.g. GTM-XXXXXXX)
  5. Click Save

That’s it. Taskip now automatically loads your GTM on every page for your customers.

  1. Go to analytics.google.com → Create account and property
  2. Copy your Measurement ID — looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX

  3. Paste your Measurement ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX)

Done. GA4 now tracks every page your customers visit.

In Meta Business Manager:

  1. Go to business.facebook.com → Events Manager

In GTM dashboard:

  1. Click Tags → New
  2. Tag type: Custom HTML
  3. Paste the Meta Pixel base code with your Pixel ID
  4. Triggering: All Pages
