How to Connect Google Tag Manager with Taskip
Track your customers’ activity — page visits, ad clicks, purchases — in your own Google Analytics, Facebook, or TikTok accounts.

Before You Start
You need accounts on the platforms you want to track with. All are free:

You only need Google Tag Manager to get started. Add the others when ready.
Step 1 — Create a GTM Account
- Go to tagmanager.google.com
- Click “Create Account”
- Fill in:
- Account name: your company name (e.g.
Acme Corp) - Country: your country
- Container name: your website URL (e.g.
acme.taskip.net) - Target platform: Web
- Account name: your company name (e.g.
- Click Create → accept the terms
GTM will show you a code snippet — skip this for now. Taskip handles the installation automatically.
- Find your Container ID — it looks like
GTM-XXXXXXXand appears at the top of the GTM dashboard
Step 2 — Add Your Container ID to Taskip
- Log in to your Taskip workspace
- Go to Settings → Integrations (or Settings → Tracking)
- Find the “Google Tag Manager” field
- Paste your Container ID (e.g.
GTM-XXXXXXX) - Click Save
That’s it. Taskip now automatically loads your GTM on every page for your customers.
Step 3 — Connect Google Analytics 4 (optional but recommended)
In GA4:
- Go to analytics.google.com → Create account and property
- Copy your Measurement ID — looks like
G-XXXXXXXXXX
In GTM dashboard:
- Click Tags → New
- Tag type: Google Analytics: GA4 Configuration
- Paste your Measurement ID (
G-XXXXXXXXXX) - Triggering: All Pages
- Click Save
- Click Submit (top right) → Publish
Done. GA4 now tracks every page your customers visit.
Step 4 — Connect Meta (Facebook) Pixel (optional)
In Meta Business Manager:
- Go to business.facebook.com → Events Manager
- Click Connect Data Sources → Web → Meta Pixel
- Copy your Pixel ID — a number like
1234567890123
In GTM dashboard:
- Click Tags → New
- Tag type: Custom HTML
- Paste the Meta Pixel base code with your Pixel ID
- Triggering: All Pages
- Save → Submit → Publish
