About this Integration
How to Configure Stripe Payment Gateway in Taskip
Step 1: Access Payment Settings Navigate to your Taskip dashboard and go to Settings → Payment Gateways → Stripe.
Step 2: Get Stripe API Credentials
- Log in to your Stripe account at dashboard.stripe.com
- Navigate to Developers → API keys
- You’ll see two sets of keys:
- Test Keys – For sandbox testing (starts with pk_test_ and sk_test_)
- Live Keys – For production use (starts with pk_live_ and sk_live_)
- Copy your Publishable Key and Secret Key
Step 3: Configure in Taskip
- Return to Taskip’s Stripe settings page
- Enter your Stripe Publishable Key
- Enter your Stripe Secret Key
- Select your environment:
- Test Mode – For testing payments without processing real transactions
- Live Mode – For accepting actual payments
- Configure your preferred currency
- Set up webhook endpoint (optional but recommended):
- Copy the webhook URL from Taskip
- Add it in Stripe Dashboard → Developers → Webhooks
- Select events to listen for (payment_intent.succeeded, invoice.paid, etc.)
- Enable/disable payment methods (Cards, ACH, SEPA, etc.)
- Click “Save Settings” to activate the integration
Step 4: Verify Webhook Configuration (Recommended)
- In Stripe Dashboard, go to Webhooks
- Click on your webhook endpoint
- Copy the Signing Secret
- Paste it in Taskip’s Stripe settings under “Webhook Secret”
- Save the configuration
Step 5: Test the Integration
- Create a test invoice in Taskip
- Use Stripe’s test card numbers (4242 4242 4242 4242)
- Verify payment processing and invoice status updates
- Check webhook logs for successful events
Note: Ensure your Stripe account is fully verified and has the necessary capabilities enabled for your region and business type.
