How to Make a Quotation in Word

Open and save a copy
Open the .docx and save a copy named after the quote, for example QT-0042-Acme.docx.

Replace the business placeholders and add your logo with Insert > Pictures.

Client name and company, quotation number, issue date and a "valid until" date.

List the items
One row per product, service or phase. Add rows with Table Layout > Insert Below.

Add totals and terms
Type the totals or use Table Layout > Formula with =SUM(ABOVE), then add your terms and conditions.
Tips for Quotations in Word

- Put the validity date near the top so the client sees it.
- Show optional extras as separate lines that are not added to the total.
- Always send a PDF, not the .docx.
